I love how art connects people. This drawing took 4 hours on site and 3 after doing the clean up on the background. It was a tall task to do on site, but hey that's what the customer asked for!
Gotta have a plan!

Here is a group of people that were celebrating Lolly's 90th in Melbourne Beach last week. I took the tablet with me and drew them all live. They were all super intrigued by the tablet idea and I became the night -long entertainment for the kids. Even the teens spent half the night just watching me draw. I love how art connects people. This drawing took 4 hours on site and 3 after doing the clean up on the background. It was a tall task to do on site, but hey that's what the customer asked for! The prelim. drawing of Lolly and ideas on spacing out the 25 + people. Gotta have a plan! Immediate Family Only here... All 26 People in one! Yeah I know some are missing bodies :)

Well, I may have gone a bit too realistic here... but still flattering. It's tough to gauge what will be accepting to a couple , especially on a wedding day. God forbid I become the guy that makes a bride cry on her big day ! :) ha!
JUst finished a Studio piec of a veteran boat designer/ builder. Party was last night.
The picture was well received and a great reminder to all he had accomplished and surrounded himself with over the years. A true fore-runner when it comes to making boating what is is today. This is your typical fisherman, Much invested and little to show for it other than stories of the ones that got away! LOL. His Sister commissioned me to draw this for his birthday. Just completed. I like the dark and light contrast and use of color more than most of my drawings. I often stay away from darker backgrounds and bold colors and even this one is a bit tame. Line work is improving as I learn to use the Wacom Cintiq 21". Comments please?!
Did this one on computer, printed the linework and finished all coloring in pencil... May have learned a new process!?
John is one of those guys that has it all, brains, music talents, creativity, a great wife and his very own kilt! Polly asked me to draw him in true form so this was what he was stuck with in the end :) He was so excited about it that he actually said "That is (&$#' Amazing, I love it!" Go to Hammerax.com and see what amazing cymbals this guy creates!
Thanks for a wonderful 2009! We are so grateful for all of the support, encouragement and gig from the past year. We look forward to growing in 2010 and announcing many exciting plans! All the best on 2010. Sincerely, Ryan and Family!
