I was commissioned to draw a hardcore military dude out on Florida's Satellite Beach.
I think I captures his face quite well. This was a full body 16" x 20" . I zoomed it to show you the likeness. The better the picture the better the likeness.

This was a set of caricatures that I was commissioned to draw for a number of coaches in New Jersey. It was a blast! The woman who set the whole thing up filled me with wonderful ideas and gave me some great ammo for a great caricature. For instance one of them was pranked by the team twice in a week...First he woke to a yard, knee deep, with the entire neighborhoods leaves, then upon clean up he was delivered 3000 or so plastic forks stuck in his grass. Talk about funny! I did these in 4 hours on a Friday and had to mail them out to be received by Monday for the unveiling at a banquet! The pressure was on. Here is the response I got back from the client: "WOW! That's always a great expression. We had three grinning coaches when they got their gifts. Thanks so much. What a fun , personal piece of art to get! You do amazing stories in those caricatures! Our lacrosse team and their parents thank you!" Trying to exhibit my work to a executive director of a firm in Philadelphia I decided to show her how I could do both a black and white quick 4minute sketch and also a digital color. Needless to say she loved it. I hope it can generate some future work with them. Art Festivals are just another way I get out in the publics eye and meet new people. "Ok, pressures on Ryan,"so I thought as I began my first mark on a precious sheet of paper that stretched nearly 9 ft. long x 3ft. tall. No room for mistakes here! Project Graduation 2009 in Brevard County was nothing but fun. So what if I didn't sleep all weekend! Here are a few snapshots I was able to take while drawing the lines of kids. I think I drew 110 kids in 2 days!!! These were all black and white drawings on 11 x 17 paper. I got a video of me drawing a couple as well... lets see if I can get that on here as well. Enjoy and congratulations Rock High and Cocoa Beach High! You guys were a blast. Remember me when your famous! Looking back on 2008, I can't help but reminded of the great times at Sea Ray, especially the Yacht Expo! I was commissioned to draw at the evening celebration and boy was it fun. I met people from all over the world excited about life and boating and even getting their Caricatures done. I did both black and white and color. I could not help but go crazy with color on this one! Graduation time is upon us and I have been doing a ton of events and Studio Caricatures for those men and women who are about to change the world. Drawing these always reminds me of my graduations and the excitement that comes along with it. This sketch in particular was done over the weekend and was shipped out within two days of receiving the pics. I love integrating a lot of detail into these, making them more than a drawing... an image capturing everything possible about the person and their interests. All the best to you Greg! (11" x 14" full color body) I was approached by a marketing manager for Sandals Resorts to draw a few Caricatures. The first one is of "the Man" Mr. Stewart, a.k.a "Butch"- He is the one who put Jamaica on the map and has a remarkable story about going from essential rags to riches. Can't wait to meet him in person! I loved doing this one as he is known as an energizer bunny type- always working on new things. This was a 16" x 20" format and took about 4 hours. Had to do a lot of research! |
